"Traditional Clothing for the Modern Muslim"

Assalamalaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakathu,

It has been transmitted in Jami' at-Tirmidhi in the book of Excellence of Character:

"Abu Hurayrah (radhi Allahu Anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'I was sent to perfect good character.'" (Graded Saheeh)

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ لِأُتَمِّمَ صَالِحَ الأَخْلاقِ‏.‏

      While being our role model, he ordained upon us to dress with modesty as a visible representation of our character. Thus, dressing plays a major role in Islamic lifestyle. We can even reflect on this more thoroughly through the metaphor established in the Qur'aan:

"...They (spouses) are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them..." (Al Baqarah 2:187)

 ...هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَهُنَّ...

      Upon these reflections, we have made it our goal to provide elegant and modest clothing that is suitable for the Islamic lifestyle, and which is a facet of the embodiment of good character. We also wanted to honor the traditions of centuries past in the designs that we provide. All of these ideals are emphasized in our tag line: “Traditional Clothing for the Modern Muslim”.
